We have even considered building a two piece aluminum head out of billet aluminum, but just the aluminum billet block is close to $1500.00 for just the block. I estimated that the retail price on the billet head would probably be close to $10,000.00. WebDec 19, 2009 · When you put it back in, insert those bolts that interfere with the cab (probably the heater enclosure) and snap a rubber band around the two to keep them from protruding below the head when it goes in place. Also use an engine hoist to lift the head out. It's nearly a 2 man carry even with the engine on a stand.
